Is it difficult to find teaching positions overseas?
It is not difficult of find teaching work overseas. English has truly become the language for international communication, business, science and diplomacy. People all over the world are learning English.

Am I guaranteed a job?
We cannot guarantee jobs to anyone. However, with our certificate and assistance, it is very easy to find good positions around the world.

How will International House assist me in finding a position?
International House has over 140 schools in 50 countries around the world. Graduates of our program will have access to vacancies in these schools. We also work with footprints (website), the most reputable ESL teacher recruitment centre in Canada. You need a degree to work with them but they work with only the most reputable school in Asia. We also have direct contact with many good schools overseas and we can assist you in obtaining employment with them.

Is there a fee for this service?
No. All job search assistance is included with your course.

Can I get a job overseas without a degree?
Yes, but your options will be more limited. The problem lies more with specific countries immigration systems rather than individual schools. Some countries, such as South Korea or Saudi Arabia, are impossible without a degree. You will need to speak to one of our representatives to get an idea of where you can teach without a degree.

Is it possible to teach overseas without a certificate?
Yes, it is. But you will have access to better positions, a higher salary, and more opportunities for advancement with a professional certificate. Also, you will be much more comfortable taking your new job knowing that you have the certificate and have had some real classroom experience.
