Tesl Vancouver FAQ / Registration
|
| |
Is the IHC only for native speakers?
No. The course is open to both native and non-native speaker candidates. Non-native speakers must meet English language requirements (link here) and be able to keep up with the rigours of the course. Non-native speaking candidates should have a level of English equivalent to the requirements for university entrance.
|
How do I apply?
You can complete the online registration, and submit it with your registration fee. We will then contact you to arrange the pre-course interview. Alternatively, you can download the fillable PDF form and email that back to us. We will contact you to arrange the interview upon receipt of the completed application.
|
How many other students are in class with me?
We maintain a ratio of 6 trainees for every teacher trainer. Therefore, if we have 2 trainers on the course, the maximum number of trainees is 12. Groups take the seminar program together and split into smaller groups for teaching practice.
|
What is the registration deadline?
There are no set registration deadlines. However, once a course is full, we will only accept registrations onto a waiting list.
|
Do I need a university degree to take this course?
No. Minimum entry requirements are a high school diploma and a minimum 20 years of age. You will need a degree to apply to TESL Canada for professional certification.
