Our core course, with integrated practicum(teaching practice).

This course features:

a practical focus including real teaching, reflection &evaluation
a well-rounded seminar program
classroom observation
integrated written assignments
a post-course 2 day shadowing at IH Vancouver

The IHC is a well-rounded and holistic initial professional teaching qualification. Graduates from this course will have the necessary competencies to become successful ESL teachers.
The course also provides a solid foundation to continue learning and developing as a teacher.

Full-time Course
130 hours over 4 weeks. Monday to Friday
Compulsory 2-day post course shadowing
Minimum 10 hours of teaching and 10 hours observing
Experienced teachers

6 hours over at least 8 lessons in the 4 weeks(more teaching possible)
